4C Digital Health announces achievement of full accreditation with the EHNAC Privacy & Security program (EHNAC P&S with HITRUST) from the Electronic Healthcare Network Accreditation Commission (EHNAC). EHNAC P&S accreditation recognizes excellence in health data processing and transactions, and ensures compliance with HIPAA Privacy and Security provisions.
“This is the third accreditation cycle completed by 4C. The move to EHNAC P&S with HITRUST for this cycle highlights a significant achievement for the team and evidences our drive for continuous improvement and a sustainable, fit for purpose control environment. Our adherence to Privacy & Security standards demonstrates our commitment to data security and overall service quality that will continue to earn our client's support.” - Eric Montagne, 4C Digital Health CTO & Security Officer.
Through EHNAC’s comprehensive third-party review, 4C was evaluated in areas of privacy and security, technical performance, business practices, customer service, personnel requirements, and third-party Cloud Service Providers. In addition, EHNAC reviewed the organization’s process of managing and transferring protected health information and determined that the organization meets or exceeds all EHNAC criteria and industry standards.
“The threat of attack or breach in today’s healthcare environment has increased due to the pandemic. Because of this, it is crucial that Trust Entities, responsible for managing the digital credentials used by directed exchange users, receive critical oversight from third parties,” said Lee Barrett, EHNAC Executive Director & CEO. “By achieving EHNAC P&S accreditation, 4C has demonstrated to existing and prospective stakeholders a trust and confidence that customer data will be managed with integrity and effectiveness.”
