Steve Bowman

Steve is a managing member of Absent Malice LLC where he is an independent director, advisor and investor in various businesses including financial technology, healthcare technology, sports management and education marketing. He is an independent director on the board of Redding Ridge Asset Management, an SEC registered investment adviser specializing in leveraged loans and global CLO management with $13 billion asset under management in the US and Europe. He was the former President of Aesir Capital Management LP, an SEC registered investment adviser. Prior to founding Aesir Capital, Steve was a senior executive in the markets group at J.P. Morgan, most recently as Managing Director, Global Head of the Investor Client Management group. Previously, he was responsible for J.P. Morgan’s Fixed Income and Currencies Sales groups in North America. Prior to joining JPMorgan, he worked for Citigroup for 20 years and served in senior global markets management leadership positions. During his career, Steve served on a variety of management, governance and diversity committees including: the Citigroup European Management Committee, Citigroup Global Markets, Global Fixed Income and Global Equities Management Committees; Citigroup Global Investment Banking Diversity Committee and JPMorgan Fixed Income and Equities Management Committees. Steve graduated from Brown University in 1982 with a B.A. in Economics and Organizational Behavior. He serves on the Brown University Advisory Council on Athletics and is Vice President of the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors for the Brown University Sports Foundation. He is also a long-time board member of the Boomer Esiason Foundation.
