Ken Lockard is chairman of Lockard Companies, a holding company. The company website is www.LockardOnline.com. Ken has been President or Chairman of Lockard Companies for the past 33 years. The company is 65 years old and diversified as follows: Lockard Development – Commercial development of 25–750 acre mixed use developments, retail, senior housing, medical office and hospital. Lockard Construction – We manage all of the construction of our development company in the US and build for many clients throughout the US. Lockard Realty – Focused on commercial realty with five offices. Iowa Securities Investment Corp – A mortgage company that funds mortgages and then sells the mortgages on the secondary market. Simmons-Lockard – National developer of senior’s housing. VeroBlue Inc. – Largest land based aquaculture in the world; helped with startup funding, with seat on the Board. Companies started and sold: Central States Warehouse – was the largest in-land potash fertilizer warehouse in the US. Sold to Garvey International. Iowa Concrete Pumping – sold 2001. Iowa Securities Equipment Leasing – sold to Mercedes-Benz (Debis Financial Services). Lockard Southwest – Arizona construction company sold to employees. Banno – A software development company; sale to Jack Henry and Associates in 2014. Ken has and is serving on many nonprofits, local and international. Along with serving on a few private and public for profit boards. He was very involved with YPO and participated in numerous universities across the globe. He has attended YPO/WPO Harvard for approximately 20 years; Harvard’s CEO Executive MBA. Ken enjoys traveling, reading, hunting upland and large game, water and snow skiing. He is working on motor biking all of the passable continents. Ken is happily married to wife Amy for 37 years and they have eight children ranging in age from 7-29.
